Martha H. Scott
Martha Scott obtained a Bachelor's degree from Park College (Parkville, MO) and her M. S. degree from the University of Chicago. She was a versatile biologist and educator with Southern Illinois Normal College (now SIU) from 1929-1947. She taught botany as well as zoology courses. Also, she taught the first genetics course complete with a laboratory (she had studied under Sewell Wright). After 18 years with Southern, she resigned and went to San Francisco.
